The head of the clinic at the Clinical Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology "Prof. Dr. Panait Sarbu", PROF. DR. ELVIRA BRĂTILĂ is a primary care obstetrician and gynecologist. She is also the founder of the Society of Endometriosis and Eastern European Fertility and the president of the Romanian Society of Urogynecology. She is an expert in maternal-fetal medicine, gynecological oncology, obstetric and gynecological ultrasound, gynecological laparoscopy, and colposcopy. She also has further training in infertility and human reproduction. In the field of obstetrics and gynecology, Prof. Dr. Elvira Brătilă is the author or co-author of 13 books and book chapters. The professional experience gained have all been recognized with awards at national and international congresses. The results of research projects in which the author has participated as a project director or member of the research team have also been reflected in the research of significant pathologies in both obstetrics and gynecology.


Prof. Dr. Harald Krentel leads the Gynaecology Clinic and Gynaecological Cancer Centre at Bethesda Krankenhaus, Duisburg. He holds professorships in Oldenburg and Lima, and various leadership roles including Interim President of the European Endometriosis League and President of the German-Spanish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr. Krentel is a specialist in minimally invasive gynecological surgery and gynecological oncology, and actively contributes to the field as a mentor, co-founder of educational programs, and guest speaker.


Shaheen Khazali is a renowned expert in advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery, with a primary focus on treating complex cases of endometriosis that involve adjacent organs like the bowel, bladder, ureters, and pelvic nerves. Additionally, he provides care for various other benign gynaecological conditions, including heavy menstrual bleeding, ovarian cysts, and menstrual disorders.

Prof. Dr. Jörg Keckstein is a pioneering gynecologist known for transforming endometriosis treatment and minimally invasive surgery (MIS). Trained at the University of Ulm, he excelled in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine. As Head of the Centre for Minimally Invasive Surgery in Munich and LKH Villach, Austria, Keckstein founded Austria's first MIS school, "Endovision." A founding ESGE member, he chaired the SIG Endometriosis, earning the Raoul Palmer Award and the "Golden Scope" Award. Prof. Dr. Jörg Keckstein's legacy is a lasting tribute to his pioneering contributions in gynecology and MIS.

Ass. Professor Pawel Basta MD, PhD



Dr Pawel Basta is a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics and gynecological oncology. Currently, he works at the University Hospital in Krakow as Deputy of a Head of the Department of Gynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology. He serves also a lecturer at Chair of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Jagiellonian University, Collegium Medicum at the same time.

Onspring of Dr Basta’s professional career are related to the Gynaecological University Clinic LMU in Munich, where he first encountered a modern diagnostics and treatment of women with breast cancer. He worked at the renowned University College London Hospital in the UK as a scholarship holder of a grant from the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology in 2012. He has been involved in early diagnosis of a breast cancer along with oncoplastic and reconstructive surgical treatment of women with this cancer. Currently, his main areas of scientific and professional interest are surgery for cancer of the female reproductive organs and minimally invasive surgery for advanced and deep endometriosis.

He has been appointed as a Vice-President of the Polish Society of Gynaecological Oncology since 2021; he also serves as Chairman of a Senological Section of the Polish Society of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and a Board member of an Endometriosis Section of this Society.

Dr Pawel Basta has been appointed as the Provincial Consultant in the field of gynecological oncology for Małopolska region since August 2023.

He was appointed as an expert to endometriosis working group by the Minister of Health for developing a care pathway for women with endometriosis in March 2023.

He is a co-author of recent guidelines for diagnosis and treatment in endometriosis of Polish Society of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians.

Dr. Vimee Bindra is a highly accomplished Consultant Endometriosis Laparoscopic/Robotic Surgeon based in Hyderabad, India. She holds the distinction of being an SRC Accredited Master Surgeon in Multidisciplinary Endometriosis Care. Dr. Bindra serves at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, and is the Director of COPE – Centre for PCOS and Endometriosis. She is also the Founder of “The Endometriosis Foundation of India.”

With a focus on excision surgeries for endometriosis and fertility-enhancing minimally invasive surgeries, Dr. Bindra leads a dynamic multidisciplinary endometriosis team. She is deeply committed to educating on endometriosis and works tirelessly to raise awareness about this condition. Additionally, she co-founded the support group “ENDOCRUSADERS” to assist women dealing with endometriosis.

Dr. Bindra’s exceptional contributions to the field have earned her numerous accolades, including the "Telangana Women Leaders Award" in 2022. She was also honored with the "Young Clinician Award" and "Best Emerging Gynaecologist Award" in 2020, reflecting her outstanding dedication and expertise. Her leadership in healthcare was recognized with the "Women Healthcare Leadership Award" in the same year, as well as the "Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad Memorial Excellence Award."

She has been an esteemed faculty member for Endometriosis, TLH, and Hysteroscopy Workshops, organizing and conducting live workshops. Dr. Bindra is a published author, contributing chapters to Gynaecology and Obstetrics textbooks, and has authored three books herself. Her advocacy extends to film, having produced, and directed an awareness short film on “ENDOMETRIOSIS.”

Laurin Burla, MD, completed his medical studies in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2016. After his training in various hospitals in Zurich and Schaffhausen in the fields of general surgery and gynecology, followed by a position as a senior physician in surgery, he is currently working at the University Hospital Zurich in the field of gynecology for his remaining gynecology training. His academic and clinical interests include the diagnosis and classification of endometriosis, particularly MRI diagnostics, as well as minimally invasive surgery, including robotics.


Maíra Casalechi has been working with endometriosis since the beginning of her career, as a researcher scholar during college
(2012-2016). During her PhD (2019-2024), she put efforts into the evaluation of a new molecular target to a non-invasive imaging diagnosis tool of endometriosis, under supervision of Dr. Fernando Reis at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Currently, she is a Research fellow at the Fondazione Ca’Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico di Milano, Italy, dedicating her time mainly to the study of the physiopathology of endometriosis and its influence on infertility.




Alin Stefan Constantin, MD, is a highly skilled Consultant Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon, with a specialization in endometriosis. He currently serves at Albertinen-Krankenhaus in Hamburg, Germany.

Dr. Constantin is dedicated to advancing the field of endometriosis and is actively involved in various professional organizations. He holds the position of Secretary General at the Endometriosis Academy, demonstrating his commitment to education and knowledge dissemination in the field. Dr Fiona Cousins is an early career scientist at the Hudson Institute of Medical research (Melbourne, Australia) whose current research focuses on understanding the pathology of endometriosis with the overall aim of discovering new therapeutic targets.

Dr Cousins worked in industry (biomanufacturing) before pursuing a PhD and postdoctoral work at the University of Edinburgh, where she specialised in the regulation of endometrial repair and regeneration during menstruation. Dr Cousins was recruited to the Hudson Institute in 2015, to investigate the role of endometrial stem cells in endometrial repair and their contributions to endometriosis pathogenesis. Dr Cousins currently leads an Australian National Health and Medical Research Council Ideas Grant (2023-2026) investigating the therapeutic potential of a novel type I interferon, IFNε, for endometriosis treatment. Her endometriosis research has been recognised by the World Endometriosis Society, awarded the prestigious David Healy Award for Best Scientific Presentation at the 14th World Congress of Endometriosis (2021) and a highly commended prize for Best Presentation by a Young Investigator at the 15th World Congress of Endometriosis (2023); she was also shortlisted in the Top 30 applicants in the L’Oreal UNESCO Women in Science Fellowship (2019).

Lydia Coxon is a post-doc researcher in the Pain in Women and the EndoCaRe research groups at the University of Oxford. Prior to this she did a DPhil (PhD) with these groups entitled ‘Neuropathic Pain in Endometriosis’.

Her work investigates pain mechanisms in pelvic pain. She has particularly worked on endometriosis-associated pain and how stratification of patients can aid our understanding and inform our treatment of women with endometriosis-associated pain. She is now working on a project investigating dysmenorrhea (period pain) in adolescents.

She is also Treasurer of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Early Career Network.

Adrien Crestani is a distinguished medical professional with a comprehensive educational background. He completed his second cycle of medical studies at the University of Paris Sorbonne in 2014, earning the title of Laureate. In 2016, he pursued advanced studies in abdominal-pelvic surgical anatomy at the University of Paris-Descartes.

His significant contributions to the field are evidenced by his impressive list of publications, which include 17 international peer-reviewed articles. Adrien is a noted authority in cervical cancer, having contributed to the French recommendation for 2023. He has also shared his expertise as an oral speaker at various international congresses, including CNGOF in 2018 and 2020, ISUOG in 2019, ESGO in 2019, European Endometriosis Congress in 2022, SOBRACIL in Brazil in 2022, and the Royal Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2023.

Adrien Crestani is a respected figure in the academic community, serving as a reviewer for esteemed journals such as the European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, European Journal of Radiology, Ultrasounds in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has also contributed as a reviewer for Plos One.


Ezgi Darici, MD is a specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She got her medical degree at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty. She worked as a clinical REI fellow at Brussels IVF, Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel between 2022-2023 and now a Ph.D. student working on endometriosis and infertility at Semmelweis University, Hungary. She is a crew member of the Endometriosis & Adenomyosis Society, Turkey since 2017 and an active member of the European Endometriosis League since 2018. Her main interest areas are advanced gynecologic sonography, endometriosis and reproductive endocrinology.


Rudy Leon De Wilde is a distinguished figure in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology with an extensive academic and professional background. He has served as a Co-Assistant at the University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Leuven, Belgium. De Wilde holds ScD degrees in Obstetrics, Internal Medicine, and Surgery from Leuven, Belgium, showcasing his deep expertise in these areas.

His career has been marked by significant contributions to surgical research, particularly in microsurgery. He gained valuable experience as a Scientific-Researcher at the Unit for Experimental Surgery and obtained a qualification as a Microsurgeon at the University Department of General Surgery in Leuven. Further, he completed his Residency and Specialization in Microsurgery at the same institution.

De Wilde's academic journey has seen him engage with various universities, including Münster, Bochum, Göttingen, Groningen, and Oldenburg, where he held teaching appointments. He currently holds the position of Medical Director of the Clinic of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Gynecological Oncology at the Pius-Clinic Oldenburg. Additionally, he serves as the Head of the University Clinic for Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, Germany.

With a prolific publication record of over 250 peer-reviewed articles on operative gynecology, De Wilde is a recognized authority in his field. He has received numerous international scientific awards for his contributions to Experimental Surgery, Microsurgery, Breast Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Gynecological and Oncological Surgery. Furthermore, his role as Director of the European Society of Gynecological Endoscopy demonstrates his leadership and influence within the international medical community.

Rudy Leon

He is an outstanding medical professional with extensive expertise. He holds positions as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kasr El-Aini School of Medicine, Cairo University, and serves as the Unit Director for Endoscopic Surgery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, overseeing Unit 33. He established and directed the Virtual Endoscopic Simulation and Skills Acquisition Lab (Vessalka) at Kasr Al Aini. Previously, he held the role of Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York, USA. He completed fellowships at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

He contributed as a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Medical School. Recognized as a Fellow of the Accreditation Council of Gynecologic Endoscopy, he is actively involved in the Egyptian Scientific Society (Institute de Egypte).

Ahmed Mahmoud

Prof. Caterina Exacoustos was born in Rome, Italy, from German father and Italian mother and has greek grand-grand father. She is an associate Professor of Ob/Gyn at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. She received her medical degree at the Catholic University of Rome in 1984 and completed in 1989 the Ob/Gyn residency and then a fellowship in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound in the same university. During that time her clinical and research interest was mostly on perinatal medicine and she had several important publications in this field. She has been attached since 1993 to the University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’ in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology initially as research fellow then as researcher and now as associate professor. Since 1993 working with endoscopic surgical teams she test the advantages of the use of transvaginal ultrasound as presurgical diagnostic tool and for an accurate management of gynecological diseases. She spends also in 2010 a sabbatical year in US at the University of Connecticut as invited professor teaching 3D transvaginal ultrasound. Actually her main areas of interest are endometriosis and benign diseases including uterine pathology and infertility. She has published more than 150 scientific articles of more than 100 peer reviewed and more than 15 book chapters both in English and in Italian. She has been invited to numerous scientific meetings and conferences of gynecological pathology as speaker in Europe and USA. She has extensive experience in gynecologic ultrasound together with a long history in training activities in several ultrasound courses


Hélder Ferreira is the Head of the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Unit of Centro Hospitalar Universitário in Porto, Portugal. He is also a Professor of Gynaecology at the University of Porto and a holder of two fellowship programs in Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery with Prof. Arnaud Wattiez (France-2009) and Prof. Joerg Keckstein (Austria-2011). He is a Full Executive Board Member of the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE) and an Advisory Board Member of the European Endometriosis League (EEL). He is a Board Member of the Portuguese Society of Gynecology and a Board Member of the Portuguese College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is president of the Portuguese Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery. He performs advanced laparoscopic surgeries (endometriosis, oncology, genital prolapse and uterovaginal malformations) and robotic gynaecological surgery. He is the author of several original articles, book chapters, short communications, and surgical video publications. He lectures in national, regional, and international scientific meetings/congresses. During conferences and postgraduate courses, he has performed live interactive surgeries in several countries. In addition, he has tutored many training courses on dry/live-tissue lab and cadaver dissection.


Professor Jamal Fikri is a distinguished expert in endoscopic surgery and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). He holds the esteemed position of President at the Moroccan College of Fertility (CMF) and is a founding member and board member of the Moroccan Society of Gynecological Endoscopy. At Abulcassis University in Rabat, he leads the postgraduate program in reproductive medicine. Furthermore, he serves as the head of the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) unit and reproductive surgery at Al Boustane Clinic in Rabat. Professor Fikri is a globally recognized speaker, contributing his expertise to organizations like SIRU, the Global Congress of Hysteroscopy, the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction, and the African Fertility Society. He is also an accomplished author with contributions to book chapters and articles.


Martin Götte is a Professor for Medical Biochemistry at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the University of Münster, Germany. He obtained his diploma (Biology) in 1994 at the University of Münster, and his Ph.D. (Biochemistry) in 1997 from the University of Göttingen and the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. After a postdoctoral research period at the Department of Cell Biology of Harvard Medical School and Children’s Hospital Boston, USA, he became a group leader at the Institute of Physiological Chemistry and Pathobiochemistry of Münster University. Since 2003, he holds a tenured position as head of the research laboratory of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of Münster University Hospital. His main areas of research cover various aspects of reproductive biology and gynaecological oncology. A particular research focus is on the molecular mechanisms of endometriosis, exploring the role of adult stem cells and microRNAs in the pathogenic process. Methodological approaches include histopathological biomarker studies, the use of knockout mouse diseases models, patient-derived primary cells and cell lines, which are investigated using a broad range of cell biological, biochemical and molecular biological techniques. Mihaela Grigore is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania. She specializes in minimally invasive surgery (European Diploma of Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimal Invasive Surgeon Certificate from European Academy of Gynecological Surgery). She is also specialized in breast surgery, gynecologic ultrasound in cervical pathology and is currently the Secretary of the “Romanian Society of Colposcopy and Inferior Genital Tract Pathology” and member of the Advisory Board of the EFC (European Federation of Colposcopy). Stefano Guerriero is a distinguished Full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cagliari, Italy, a position he has held since 2016. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pisa and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology there in 1992.

Since January 2020, he has served as the Head of the Center of Assisted Reproduction and Diagnostics in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria of Cagliari. From 2018 to 2021, he held the position of director at the postgraduate school of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cagliari.

A founding member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG), he served as the Editor of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2011 to 2019. Lone publishes as a global repository for information and news in endometriosis.


Dr. Med. Sara Imboden is a Consultant in Gynecological Oncology at the University Hospital Bern (Inselspital). Prior to this, from August 2017 to January 2018, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Karolinska Institut in Stockholm, Sweden. Their extensive training includes a fellowship and deputy leadership role at the Endometriosis Center at the University Hospital Bern. They also completed international training in robotic surgery and clinical research at the University of Lund, Sweden.

In terms of research, Dr. Med. Sara Imboden has been instrumental in projects aimed at advancing personalized medicine in endometrial cancer. Dr. med. Prof. Dr. Ludwig Kiesel received his medical education from the School of Medicine in Heidelberg, Germany, and the Royal Free Hospital in London, UK. He earned a medical doctorate (M.D.) from the University of Heidelberg in 1981 and obtained ECFMG certification (American Medical Exam) in 1982. Following this, he pursued a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, USA, from 1981 to 1982. Throughout his clinical career, Prof. Dr. Kiesel held various positions of significance. He served as a Resident at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Heidelberg from 1983 to 1990 and achieved board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989. Subsequently, he worked as a Faculty Member at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Heidelberg until 1992. Following this, he continued as a Faculty Member at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tübingen from 1992 to 2000. Since 2000, he has been the Chairman of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Muenster.

Prof. Dr. Kiesel's professional interests encompass a wide range of areas, including menopause, gynecological endocrinology, contraception, endometriosis, and mechanisms of hormone action in breast cancer.

His extensive involvement in professional organizations is notable. He has held the position of President of the Society of German Society of Gynaecologic Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine. Jure Knez has graduated in medicine at the Medical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana in 2008. In 2014, he obtained a position of a Clinical Research Fellow for the internationally leading expert in gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound Mr Davor Jurkovic at the University College London Hospital, UK, which is recognised as one of the world leading centres for the use of gynaecologic ultrasound. During this time, he has gained a high level of expertise in ultrasound diagnostics of gynaecologic disease, endometriosis and early pregnancy complications. In 2015, he finished his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and obtained a position of a consultant gynaecologist at the Gynaecology Clinic, University Medical Centre Maribor. In 2016, he has attained the title of European Fellow of Obstetrics and Gynaecology by completing the European specialist exam in Obstetrics and Gynaecology by the European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EBCOG). He currently holds a position of Assistant Professor for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Maribor, Slovenia. His main clinical and research focus is management of endometriosis, endometrial cancer, and the use of gynaecological ultrasound in clinical practice. In his research career, he has collaborated with experts working at high-esteemed internationally acknowledged institutions, such as Vrije Universiteit Brussel (the Free University of Brussels, Belgium) and the University College London, UK (UCL), which resulted in publication of several high impact papers. He is the national director of Ian Donald Inter-University School of Medical Ultrasound. Since 2023 he is the Associate Editor of one of the leading journals in the field of gynaecology “Human Reproduction, Oxford University Press”. Graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. On a daily routine, she works as a senior assistant and lecturer in the Clinical Department of Gynecology and Gynecological Oncology at the University Hospital in Krakow.

Marina Kvaskoff is an Epidemiologist and Tenured Scientist at the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) in France. She is leading a research group focused on the epidemiology of endometriosis and women’s health. Her research interests span the descriptive epidemiology of endometriosis, its risk factors, progression, heterogeneity, and long-term consequences.

She is leading projects in several population-based cohorts and is the PI of ComPaRe-Endometriosis, a prospective e-cohort of several thousands of patients with endometriosis and/or adenomyosis in France.

She is President of the Scientific Committee of the French Foundation for Research on Endometriosis and a member of the Early-Career Board of the World Endometriosis Society.

Sylvia Mechsner is a consultant at the Department of Gynecology, Charité University Medicine in Berlin, Germany. He was one of the “experts” in the development of the latest recommendations for good practices in the management of endometriosis published at the end of 2017 (HAS and CNGOF).

His clinical activity has focused for many years on the surgical management of this disease, and in particular the most complex surgeries.

He actively participates in research against endometriosis, collaborating on numerous scientific articles in international journals and also as principal investigator of innovative research projects.

Emad Mikhail is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in Gynecologic Subspecialties. Currently serving as the Division Director of Gynecologic Subspecialties at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, USA, he also holds the position of Medical Director of Inpatient Gynecologic Services at Tampa General Hospital. Mira Mousa is the Deputy Director of the Biomedical Science Discovery (BISDI) Program, and Postdoctoral Scientist in Genetic Epidemiology and Molecular Genetics at the Khalifa University. The BISDI program is an initiative to champion biomedical life science research and drive drug development innovation in Abu Dhabi by demystifying the function of mystery genes and target validation for immunotherapy. Mira’s research interests focuses on integrating multi-OMICs modalities, primarily in single-cell, to gain a comprehensive understanding of genotypic-phenotypic interactions underlying the pathogenesis of conditions, and identify novel biomarkers for early diagnosis and therapeutics. Annemiek Nap is a professor in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine. She is Head of Department of the department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

Currently, she is a member of the advisory board of EEL. She was past Treasurer of the World Endometriosis Society from 2021-2023 and she was a member of the Core Group of the Guideline Development Group of the ESHRE guideline on Endometriosis 2022. He established the Office Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy Unit in 2008 in Bezm-i Alem University and also in 2011 in Bagcilar Education and Research Hospital. He established Endometriosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain Clinic in Bagcilar Training and Research Hospital in 2016. Now he has worked Acibadem Altunizade Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey since March 2017 and Acibadem University. He established Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic in Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital. This is the first Pelvic Pain clinic in Acibadem Healthcare Group. He was the General secretary of Europian Endometriosis League (EEL) from 2015-2017. He was the President of Turkish Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Society in 2019- 2022, and he is also Board member of the same society. He is Advisory Board member of Europian Endometriosis League (EEL) from 2019 and Europian Society of Gynaecologic Endoscopy (ESGE) from 2021. In March 2022 Taner Usta is had a accreditation Surgeon of Excellence, and his Endometriosis Center is being Turkey's 1st, Europe's 2nd, and the world's 6th.Center of Excellence in Multidisciplinary Endometriosis Care (COEMEC, from U.S.A.). He has many national and international article, more than 100 abstracts, oral presentation at national and international meetings. His research focuses on Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain, pelvic nerves and endoscopic tecniques. He has a Professor at Acibadem MAA University.

Krina Zondervan FRCOG is Professor of Reproductive & Genomic Epidemiology, Head of the Nuffield Department of Women’s and Reproductive Health at Oxford University, and Co-Director of the Oxford Endometriosis CaRe Centre. Her research over the past 25 years has focused on using genomic and epidemiological approaches to understand the causes of common, under-recognised women’s health conditions to improve diagnostic and treatment options. She has led several global collaborative research initiatives including largest-scale studies that have identified genetic variants and their role in the development of endometriosis and uterine fibroids, providing new insights into pathogenesis and patient stratification directly relevant to the development of better-targeted treatments. She co-founded the Endometriosis PHenotyping and Biobanking Harmonisation ProjECT (EPHECT), a global phenome and biobanking standardisation initiative producing guidelines now adopted by >50 research centres. She has published more than 150 peer-reviewed research papers (h-index 78) and has served as a board member of numerous charities and funding committees in the field of women’s health and genomics. She was recognised in 2013 as Outstanding Female Scientist by AcademiaNet (Wellcome Trust nomination); in 2019 through an honorary professorship at the Aarhus University, Denmark; and in 2022 through an honorary fellowship ad eundem by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for contributions to women’s health.
